De Jonge Lutherie - 2018 Doubletop Cedar/Indian 64,4 cm

About the luthier

In the twilight of the 60s, Sergei de Jonge embarked on a journey to master the art of guitar crafting under the guidance of Jean Claude Larrivée, a man destined to be revered as the godfather of Canadian guitar builders. By 1972, de Jonge had forged his own path, establishing a renowned workshop and focusing predominantly on crafting classical guitars. The art didn’t stop with him; he passed down his legacy and expertise to his daughter Joshia, who now nurtures her own world of creations.

About the guitar

A culmination of generations of knowledge and skill, this cedar-double-top guitar is more than just a musical instrument – it’s a masterpiece. The sustain it provides is breathtaking, while its rich tapestry of harmonics delivers a performance that can only be likened to a seasoned singer hitting each note with precision. Ergonomically designed, the neck shape and the elevated fingerboard, harmonizing with the double-top construction, provide players with unparalleled comfort. Whether you’re strumming with your right or picking with your left, this guitar ensures that each motion is effortless. The result is a powerful, modern-day guitar that echoes with a warm and intricate tone.
